Writer's Block

I honestly have no clue where to start. It's been so, so, sooo long since I've posted a blog, I really don't know how to form a sentence very well on paper nor do I even know what to say.

What happened to the summer? We were busy busy with an array of everyday activities including Greenbelt walks, hikes, neighborhood walks, many swims at the pool, lots of playdates, & some memories already made at preschool.

The Summer seemed much more low key than the Fall we have scheduled ahead of us. We spent the last weekend of August in Portland with my family (Mom, sister & fam & brother & his fiance - a separate post to come). We will spend the first week of September with my sister & my niece in town & then head to the Bahamas with Shad's two sisters.

Not to mention, we have weekends of Fall Harvest parties, Halloween parties, birthday parties & a trip to Phoenix all before November even gets here!! Exciting? YES! Exhausing? Oh, I'm sure. I'm happy to be blessed with the busyness of some fun quality time with good friends & family though. That's what life is all about -- building those relationships. So, here's to looking forward to seeing you all this Fall! And enjoy a little recap below of this summer.

Oh so handsome. I just adore this little man to pieces.

My sweet boys watching TV. (Go figure.)

Cashe's faves - his pig & his cow.

If you look closely, he even sleeps with his pig & his cow.

Boise Nature Center - we decided to start exploring Boise the weeks that Shad is home
(only after living here for 7 years).

Look who found a giant, fuzzy caterpillar!
It took every ounce of his willpower not to squish the poor thing to death.

One night Shad made FLAT chocolate chip cookies & I made banana bread that stuck to the pan. Although both tasted spectalar, we probably shouldn't quit our day jobs.

The roads in the subdivision were repaved so we were fortunate enough to get this fabulous NO PARKING sign (equipped with a cool pic of a car on it for Cashe's viewing pleasure) on our front yard. It made for some fun discussion every morning.

Not sure how this turkey managed to wake up with one pant leg off.

Such a stud.

My least favorite part of the summer - Cashe got a horrible fever that reached 103.6 at one point. He had the chills, but was burning up & refused to let me cool him down with cool towels.
I attempted a cool bath too which only brought on blood curdling screams that those of you in the Boise vicinity undoubtedly heard.
Thankfully, after 2 days of sleeping with him & waking up to check his temp every half hour, his fever came down & life proceeded as normal again.
