June 2012: Week Three

This week was a big one.  It started with a trip to Missoula for work for Shad.  He left early Monday morning & while he was in meetings & team-building-rock-climbing events, Cashe & I got ready for our trip to Portland.

My friend Brooke hosted a ladies night at her house Tuesday night, so I got a sitter & went to have enchiladas while Cashe stayed & played with his friends, Katelyn & Chase at our house.  (As always, I forgot to take pix.  Sooner or later, you'll start to wonder if my Twin Falls friends truly exist.)

Wednesday was a day of chaos as we got ready to fly to Portland (thankfully from our tiny airport in Twin Falls, but nice & late in the day so we were half asleep).

The remainder of the week was spent in Portland & Washington for my little brother's wedding & can be explained in the 527 photos (no exaggeration) below:

His first 'real' (purchased) seat.  Such a big boy!

When we got to Portland, Cashe insisted on carry his car seat on his lap in his stroller.

The next morning, we headed to downtown Portland so Matt & Cashe could try on their tuxes.
Cashe was not a happy camper.

The fun part of the whole trip to the tux shop was when Auntie Leasha chased Cashe around the suits ...
& then took a huge poop in his pants & stunk up the whole store.

After the tux shop, we went home for naptime & Cashe fed Auntie Ali his blueberries.

And Mom watched the kids so we could take the bride out for sushi.

This was our tower of sushi plates when we were finished!

Meanwhile, Sage caught up on her celebrity gossip.

Ooops -- this one is outta place --
Cashe watching The Lion King in Salt Lake on our way to Portland.

The lovely bride & groom & the sign/wine bottle vase holder I had made for them.

Mama & Bebe Sage

The kids & I on our way to Lindsay's (Ali's sister) birthday celebration.

We went to a restaurant in Portland called Montage & I ordered aligator!

... & frog legs!

Alicia tried one too.

Since Shad hadn't arrived quite yet, Uncle Matt helped entertain Cashe-man at Lindsay's birthday dinner.

Mom & me!  XOXO

If you had left-overs at Montage, they made you giant tin-foil animals.
We got a seahorse.

Friday night, the girls got together to prep for Ali's Bachelorette Party.

Ali & Alicia making "grandma's chicken salad" wraps.

The Konrady sisters in their 80's dresses.

Alicia & I TOTALLY scored at the "toss a weiner in a cup" game.
Alicia had a hotdog in the bottom of a pair of pantyhose
& she had to fling it into the cup in between my legs without using our hands & we did it!!

All the 80's sisters: Alicia, Whitney, Ali, me & Lindsay.

After rehearsal, we hung out with Dad (in his construction worker jacket).

The gorgeous venue.

After the rehearsal, we went to lunch & thought we would take one car,
so Alicia & I made our own sister-seat in the trunk

Daddy's helping get ready for the big day!

Studying his movie case before we head to the barn.

The boys are loadin' up on Rockstars.

Mama & the handsome ring-bearer.

Sweet boys: Ring-bearer & groom.

Mama & Flower-girl

Mama & Daughters

Gettin' bored.

Still bored & wanting to run around.

Mom & her kids.

Cashe-man RAN down the aisle after the flower girls ...
without the pillow
(I brought it down after him).

The other lovebirds.

Sweet boy finally gets to run a little.

Hawt.  Hawt.  Hawt.

Cashe-man found the chickens next to the barn!

The Nelsons & the Nyquests
(I apparently didn't get the "make a goofy-face memo",)

The fun wedding party!

The gorgeous wedding ceremony.

The first time the bride & groom saw each other.

This is where Cashe would prefer to stand rather than with the wedding party.

Swinging with Dad after the wedding.

But fast asleep on Mom's lap at dinner.

The groom & his (our) CUH-RAZY parents.

He's such a handsome man.
I couldn't get enough of him when he held still.
SUCH a doll.

Got the kids to bed & now we can R-E-L-A-X.

We finally made it out to the picture wall outside.
We were a little late though & it was a bit dark.
Dang.
(For all the 'Friends' fans, Alicia & I are making 'Gladyce paintings')

And I would say the boys are NOT making Gladyce paintings.
They're just being freaky..

Headed back to Portland ...
with Mama's green tea.

And since we started the morning with healthy green tea, we figured we'd have a little Voodoo Donuts -
particularly one with Fruit Loops all over it.

Father/Son Dance, perhaps?  SO sweet.

Father/Daughter/Sister Dance.
LOVE the Konrady Family.
Matt could not have chosen a better sister for all of us ...
AND a better family to add to ours!

Mom & Matt dancing the Mother/Son Dance.
Welcome to our family, Ali!
We love you!
Congrats, you two!!
