Other Things May Change Us, But We Start & End With Family

Since I'm so far behind in life these days, here is a quick compilation of our wild & crazy weekend with family in Portland this summer:

No, we didn't adopt a new dog. This just is a distant nephew of ours.

Ali (our future sister-in-law) & her sister, Lindsay & bebe Sage.

Awe - siblings.

Oh yeah, & the neighbor's kid.

Cutie Nelsons

Fruity Rices

Alicia & Mama
(We're all waiting to get into Slappy Cakes while I'm taking all these shots, btw.

Slappy Cakes is my very fave in Portland for breakfast. I know I've posted about it before - you order your own pancake batter & toppings & make your own pancakes at your table. Such a genius, interactive idea for kids, especially big kids such as myself.)

Um yeah, that's real. Ali's sister, Lindsay owns this scary thing.
And Alicia had to hold it.
It's making my skin crawl looking at it now ... ick.

Bra shopping

Wedding night lingerie shopping. My brother is one lucky man.

BBQ-ing boys

Alicia & her prom pose with Matt & Ali's inflatable bear.
(Everyone has an inflatable bear at home, right??)

Pictionary with eyes closed!

... so Shad decided to mess with him.

Goofballs

We used to rock at this game ... until you had to close your eyes ...

OR write left-handed. We sucked. We almost needed marital counseling after this game too.

Turkey Pot Pie zonked out

We FINALLY got into Slappy Cakes, after several attempts throughout the whole weekend. Praise God for a truly fabulous weekend with some fabulous family!
