So, onto the fourth as I had promised two posts ago ...

Normally, we spend the 4th of July in northern Idaho with my Dad & family in Coeurd'Alene; however he was working out of state, so Shad & I decided to host our own 4th of July partay this year at our own house - that way we could enjoy our own h
ome for awhile & not jump right back on the road again.
So, that we did!
We invited 6 of our 7 of our siblings (one family lives WAY up in AK, so a trip to Boise for the weekend is a bit unrealistic) & their families & 5 of them made i
t! Uh huh, & we packed 'em all into our little home! And it was a blast, if I do say so myself.

The Missoula group got in late on Friday night, so we stayed up until 2:30 a.m. again (I'm on a roll!) watching scary TV shows. The next morning, we all got up & went to breakfast & the girls went to have pedicures (ahhhhh ... )
The Seattle group came in later on Saturday just in time for a p
ool partay at the Bradley's. And of course, they arrived just in time to watch the UFC fight/stare at their "cauliflower ears" (my fave).
We got home that night & the boys stayed up until 5:00 a.m. playing Trivial Pursuit. Wait, no - I think Sha
d pulled a fast one on me! They were up playing poker! Anyway ... they totally knocked my 2:30 a.m. record outta the park & were hurtin' a bit the next day.

But, I made my ever-so-famous French toast for breakfast & we did a devotion at home (rather than hauling 11 of us to church & having only two bathrooms for us to get all gussied up in) & we put the kids down for a nap & watched a movie. They woke up just in time to head to our pool.
Th
e girls played in the water, bathed in the sun, & the boys played a bunch of games yet again. Everything ran so smoothly & everyone had a great time (or so they said).
We finally wrapped things up at the pool 8:00 p.m. & head
ed home to get ready for dinner ... & an hour later realized nothing was open on the 4th of July! Grrr ... We made it to PF Changs just before closing (& I'm sure they loved us for it). The meal was spectacular & the company was by far, the best.
Dinner went a
little late since we got a late start on things, so we totally missed the fireworks. Dangit. We still managed to enjoy ourselves though & start the month of with a pretty big bang!
Thanks to all who made that weekend such a great time! We love you all!
