My parents were avid skiiers & moved to MONTANA (where I was raised primarily) from New York & New Jersey, where they spent many of their early years together skiing in Vermont & other snowy New England states. So, why, why, why didn't they have us kids take skiing lessons?? I wish I was a skiier. Not just a better skiier, but just a plain ol' skiier.
I do admit that I tried it once on Sophomore Ski Day in high school & hated it, mostly because I looked like an idoit while all of my classmates skiied the slopes like pros.
